How about dessert afterwards? Rhubarb tart, traditional waffles or pavé flamand (speculoos ice cream) – those with a sweet tooth will be satisfied!
A true tradition of cheeses
Hard or soft, with a strong or mild taste, aged or fresh: we are of course referring to cheese. And in Flanders we are not outdone when it comes to cheese products. They are all evidence of Flemish know-how: Mont des Cats, made by monks at the abbey with the same name, fromage de Bergues, Boulet de Cassel, Brique Rouge des Flandres and the goat’s cheese. If you take a gourmet break, you will almost certainly find one or two of them on your plate.
